In Home Piano Lessons: Policies
Mondays
Saturdays
Students enrolled in private lessons meet once a week. Tuition is based on $70 per hour of instruction, plus an additional charge of $17.50 to come to your home. One eleven week session includes individual lessons, occasional performance classes or recitals, and one make-up lesson. Group lessons and recitals cannot be made up, and no credits or additional lessons are issued should a student be unable to attend. In addition to the time your teacher spends directly with each student in the lesson, your tuition also pays for lesson planning, learning, and organizing the best possible ways to educate each student.
Private lesson tuition, per session:
-
30 minute lessons: $525 ($350 for any additional family members)
-
45 minute lessons: $700 ($525 for any additional family members)
-
60 minute lessons: $875 ($700 for any additional family members)
Monthly payments:
-
30 minute lessons: $175 ($117 for any additional family members)
-
45 minute lessons: $234 ($175 for any additional family members)
-
60 minute lessons: $292 ($234 for any additional family members)
Discounts-for tuition:
-
5% off each additional family member enrolled
-
5% off lessons that conclude by 3:30pm weekdays
Missed Lessons
Each student enrolled in individual lessons will receive one free make up lesson at the end of each session. These lessons are used first to offset any teacher absences including inclement weather, and then for any student absences that may occur. If neither you nor your teacher misses any lessons in a session, you may still attend your lesson during makeup lesson week. Group lessons and recitals cannot be made up, and no credits or additional lessons are issued should a student be unable to attend. Other makeup lessons must be approved by the school’s director. Students who give less than 24 hours notice of cancellation may still be charged for that lesson.
Groups & Recitals
We have one recital per session, and other opportunities to perform if students are interested. We also have one group class per session. Group classes are informal performance opportunities in a group setting to discover music history and theory.
Business Policies
Payment is by check, cash, or Paypal link found in your invoice. Late payments will be charged a $20.00 late fee. A $20 fee will be charged to your account if your checks are returned from the bank for any reason. Credits are only issued if your teacher cannot reschedule a lesson. There will be no refunds for advance payments if a student stops lessons before the end of a session, except in the case of major illness or major family emergency.
Safety
I will only teach a lesson if a parent or caregiver is present in the house at all times.
