We begin with César Franck’s famous Violin Sonata in A Major and Debussy’s magnificent Cello Sonata. The second half of our program pairs the nostalgia of Placzek’s “Dream” trio with the effervescence of Schubert’s Fantasia in C Major for Violin and Piano, composed in 1827, for a performance bubbling over with life, love, and joy.
